Felony/Intake Prosecutor

The Cameron County District Attorney’s Office is seeking an experienced prosecutor to serve as the felony intake/grand jury prosecutor. This position is responsible for conducting felony intake (the border prosecution unit and child abuse unit conduct their own intake) and presenting accepted cases to the grand jury for consideration.  Cameron County is the 13th biggest county in Texas. The CCDA services over fifty (50) law enforcement agencies (including local, county, state, and federal agencies); and services two grand juries.  The Grand Juries meet once a month for six month terms.   The CCDA employs over 40 prosecutors, and in total has a staff of over 100 employees. The CCDA is responsible for the prosecution of state crimes in the eight (8) district courts, five (5) county courts at law, and ten (10) justice courts of Cameron County.
