If you are flying into Brownsville, there is a free shuttle service, but it does require a transfer. Click HERE to learn more.

There will be continuous shuttle buses running TO and FROM the following hotels and the South Padre Convention Centre, as well as the nightly receptions, from  7:45 am to 10:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, with half-day service on Friday:

The Wave

The WAVE is the FREE shuttle system serving South Padre Island and Port Isabel. It does have service from the Brownsville Airport, information can be found here: There are a number of convenient WAVE stops in both communities, however, you can also just go near the street and wave when one is approaching! By Air

Three airports in the Rio Grande Valley provide service to South Padre Island.  Brownsville South Padre Island International Airpoort (BRO) is just 30 minutes away, Valley International Airport (HRL) is nearly 45 minutes away and McAllen International Airport (MFE) is 1-1/2 hour away.  Ground transportation is available from each of the three airports. By Car

If you're traveling by car, it's easy to get to South Padre Island. Drivers may use U.S. Highways 77 and 281 from the north and 83 from the west to get to the Island. Then, east on Texas State Highway 100. Click here for driving directions
