There is no cost to participate in any of the following programs. To ensure your participation in all of the programs of interest to you, please register in the following order:

Public Service Expo | October 12, 2022 
11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Susman Godfrey Atrium at the Law School 
Public Service Expo serves as a chance for you and other public service employers to promote internships and job opportunities to all of our students. Tables will be set up so you can distribute literature and answer any questions students may have about your organization. Complimentary boxed lunches from Potbelly’s will be served. Parking will be validated for those who park in the San Jacinto Garage next to the law school. Employer registration opens at noon (CT) on Tuesday, September 13, and closes at noon (CT) on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Space is limited to the first 40 registrants! [ registration info ] 

Mock Interview Program: Public Sector | November 7-8, 2022 
Career Services Interview Suite at the Law School and Flo Recruit

The Mock Interview Program: Public Sector provides students with valuable interviewing experience while offering attorneys an opportunity to meet our students in a one-on-one setting. Each 30-minute mock interview (20-minutes in length followed by a 10-minute review) will be held from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00-5:00 p.m.  In-person interviews will be held on Monday, November 7, and virtual interviews will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be served for those in person as well as parking will be validated for those who park in the San Jacinto Garage next to the law school. Public Service Career Fair | February 2-3, 2023
Career Services Interview Suite at the Law School and Flo Recruit 
The 2023 Public Service Career Fair is the largest interview program in Texas for law students interested in working in public service. Virtual interviews will be available on Flo Recruit on Thursday, February 2, with in-person interviews, Public Service Table Talks, and the Public Service Happy Hour held at the University of Texas School of Law on Friday, February 3, 2023. You may recruit 1Ls, 2Ls, 3Ls, LL.Ms, and recent graduates (Class of 2022) from all 10 accredited Texas law schools for both summer and entry-level employment. Employer registration opens at noon (CT) on Tuesday, October 25, and closes at noon  (CT) on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Additional information will be sent to you in mid-October.

Update to Recruiting Policy
We have updated our Recruiting Policies for Public-Sector Employers as it pertains to recruiting our first-year students (Part B, Sections 2-4): We allow and encourage contact with employers any time during the first semester in group settings to learn about professionalism, professional development, and the legal profession.Employers and first-year law students, however, should not initiate contact with one another for recruiting purposes, and employers should not seek application materials from, interview, or make offers to our first-year students before November 1. Deviations from this guideline may be permissible pursuant to the circumstances of the employment situation, including the necessity of earlier application dates to allow sufficient time for required background checks.
