Bonjour, y’all! Want to work just blocks away from the famous Eiffel Tower? Come live and work in the second-largest Paris in the world! The Lamar County and District Attorney’s Office is seeking applications for a full time misdemeanor prosecutor. The selected candidate will handle all aspects of misdemeanor prosecution including case intake, plea negotiations, jury/bench trials, and probation revocation hearings. Though classified as a misdemeanor position, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to assist with the office’s busy felony docket under the mentorship of our felony prosecutors.
Our office is located in Paris, TX, approximately 90 miles northeast of the D/FW metro area. Lamar County has a population of approximately 50,000 and is an excellent place to live and work, with a nearby lake, historic downtown, and convenient access to both Dallas and Beaver’s Bend, Oklahoma.
- Salary begins at $75,000, depending on experience.
