Assistant County Attorney – Felony Prosecutor/Trial Attorney
The Colorado County Attorney with felony jurisdiction is accepting applications for an Assistant County Attorney whose primary responsibility will be to try felony cases. This position requires prior criminal law and trial experience.
Salary:
up to $115,000, based upon experience and qualifications, plus benefits.
Education and/or Experience Required:
Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited school of law and a minimum of 3 years prior criminal law and trial experience.
Certificates and Licenses:
License to practice law in the State of Texas and a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas.
Duties:
This position will primarily be responsible for prosecuting and trying felony cases. The successful candidate will also prepare felony cases for plea negotiations, handle motions hearings, draft legal documents for any necessary filing/hearing/trial and assist in prosecuting and trying misdemeanor cases.
