Assistant Criminal District Attorney

The Criminal District Attorney of Walker County, Will Durham, is accepting resumes for the position of Felony Assistant Criminal District Attorney.

Duties and responsibilities will include representing the State in a variety of felony trials in the District Courts, case evaluation and preparation, preparation of legal documents, interpreting laws and regulations and rendering legal advice and counsel.

The prosecutor will be expected to contact victims, work with law enforcement, negotiate pleas with defense attorneys, write appellate briefs, handle motions and hearings, and try cases to jury verdict.

Must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.  Minimum 3 years of trial experience required.

Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include MCLE costs, bar dues, retirement, and insurance.
