Assistant District Attorney

The District Attorney for the 18th Judicial District is accepting applications for an Assistant District Attorney.
Position: Assistant District Attorney
Salary: $83,139.00 – $160,000 (based on experience) / Year plus benefits.
Essential Duties / Functions:
- Under the direction of the elected District Attorney, represent the State in all aspects of felony prosecution.
- Applicants must have excellent communication skills, as well as writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Must be organized, able to work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks.
- Able to manage a high-volume caseload.
- Must be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in preparing and organizing cases.
- Must be able coordinate and work with outside Law Enforcement Agencies with the upmost respect and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of law.
- Sufficient experience to understand the principles relevant to the major duties of the position, which would include criminal law and prior criminal trial experience.
- Current membership in the State Bar of Texas
