Are you looking for new challenges? Operation Lone Star has increased our caseload and we are seeking three (3) motivated and experienced prosecutors to join our team.  One position is funded by the Border Prosecution Grant.

The 112th District Attorney’s Office serves five counties along and just North of Interstate 10. (Crockett, Pecos, Reagan, Sutton and Upton).

The successful candidates will represent the State in all aspects of felony prosecution from case intake through the appellate process. Duties will include, but are not limited to: case intake, grand jury preparation and presentation, pre-trial duties including plea negotiations and pretrial motions; jury trials, bench trials, and appeals. This position requires working with law enforcement, victims, witnesses, and legal assistants/VAC’s.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, WordPerfect, Adobe, Odyssey, and other computer programs as necessary. Travel within the District will be required.  Employees are required to live in one of the counties within the Judicial District.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited law school and currently licensed to practice law in Texas. Must be in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.

Five years felony prosecutorial experience preferred, but those with less experience will be considered. Must pass background check.

Beginning salary, commensurate with experience: $90,000.00 – $115,000.00
