Assistant District Attorney



The 156th Judicial District Attorney’s Office has an open position for a felony level prosecutor. Duties include evaluation and prosecution of felony criminal offenses and juvenile offenses. This prosecutor will be expected to represent the State in criminal felony prosecutions in the Bee, Live Oak and McMullen County District Courts. The prosecutor will be expected to evaluate cases, contact victims, work with law enforcement officers, engage in plea negotiations with defense attorneys, and try appropriate cases to jury verdicts.

Applicants must be licensed by and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.  Starting salary ranges between $72,000 and $76,875, depending on experience. Benefits include coverage of MCLE costs and bar dues as well as retirement and health insurance.
