Assistant District Attorney
The Hill County District Attorney’s Office will have an opening in January 2027 for an Assistant D.A. to handle felony criminal matters. Essential job functions include the entire spectrum of a D.A.’s Office. The position will primarily involve negotiating pleas and handling felony trials. Excellent case analysis, plea negotiation, and trial skills are required. This office consists of 4 attorneys, 3 support staff members, and one investigator. The ability to work well with your co-workers and manage a caseload is necessary.
Salary of $110,000 – $130,000 depending on experience, etc., plus a generous benefit package, including CLE costs, TDCAA membership dues, and state bar dues, along with
county holidays, vacation days, health insurance, and excellent retirement benefits (TCDRS, with 200% county match of 7% of salary).
