Assistant District Attorney 106th Judicial District. The Attorney will be under the supervision of the District Attorney and will primarily handle felony cases of all types.
PRIMARY DUTIES: The attorney will assist in felony prosecution duties assigned to him/her and shall be responsible for and assist with all aspects of felony prosecution.  Duties will include assisting with intake and preparation of all pleadings and correspondence necessary for discovery and trial. The attorney will prosecute these cases to completion including trial in the 106th Judicial District, and will assist the District Attorney in other felony cases as needed. The attorney will also handle probation revocations, legal research and potentially some appellate matters. Applicants need the desire, willingness, and ability to represent the State of Texas in felony jury trials on a consistent basis and work independently with nominal supervision.  The applicant will have the opportunity to participate in 10 – 12 felony jury trials per year.  Will also consider a 3rd Year Law Student who will be sitting for the Bar Exam in June, 2022.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: Juris Doctorate and State Bar of Texas license to practice law. Trial experience beneficial. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license with an insurable driving record. 0-5 years experience.

Salary will be based on experience and range from $50,000.00 to $90,000.  County benefits will be available.
