Position: Assistant District Attorney

Salary: Starting at $115,000-$125,000.00 (Includes SB22) and County benefits.

Description: Felony line-level prosecutor 

Primary Expectations:

  • Represent the State of Texas in all matters handled by the DA’s office.
  • Maintain a caseload from intake through trial, focusing on child sexual abuse cases.
  • Advise local law enforcement, as part of on-call schedule, drafting search warrants, and regular organized meetings with law enforcement agencies.
  • Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years felony trial experience and a working knowledge of criminal law, procedure, and rules of evidence.  Experience in handling crimes against children strongly preferred.
