Position: Assistant District Attorney

Salary: Starting at $105,000.00 (Includes SB22), upward adjustment available based on experience, and County benefits.

Description: Felony line-level prosecutor 

Primary Expectations:

  • Represent the State of Texas in all matters handled by the DA’s office.
  • Maintain a caseload from intake through trial, includes child sexual abuse cases.
  • Advise local law enforcement, as part of on-call schedule, drafting search warrants, and regular organized meetings with law enforcement agencies.
  • Performs all other job-related duties assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited law school.
  • Must have a license to practice law in the State of Texas and be in good standing with the State and local bar associations.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years felony trial experience and a working knowledge of criminal law, procedure, and rules of evidence.  Experience in handling crimes against children, preferred.
