ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY / BORDER PROSECUTOR 112TH DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE

Looking for new challenges and a fresh start for the New Year? Come join us in lovely West Texas! The 112th District Attorney’s Office is seeking a new Border Prosecutor. This office serves five counties along and just North of Interstate 10. (Crockett, Pecos, Reagan, Sutton and Upton). This position is partially funded by the Border Prosecution Unit Grant and partially funded by the counties. Mrs. English is seeking a highly motivated prosecutor to join our team.

The successful candidate will represent the State in all aspects of felony prosecution, including, but not limited to: case intake, preparation and presentation of cases to grand juries in five counties, pre-trial, jury trials, bench trials, and appeals. This position requires working with law enforcement, victims, and witnesses. Additionally, proficiency is required with Microsoft Office applications, WordPerfect, Adobe, and other computer programs as necessary. Travel within the District will be required. This employee will be required to live in one of the counties within the District.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited law school and currently licensed to practice law in Texas. Three to five years prosecutorial experience preferred, but those with less experience will be considered. Must pass background check.

Salary and full benefits package: County Insurance, TCDRS Retirement benefits, and Salary commensurate with experience. Starting salary: $75,000.
