Assistant District Attorney – Felony Prosecutor

The 106th Judicial District Attorney’s office is seeking a prosecutor for a position that is currently available.  This position will involve case intake, plea negotiations, and trial.  Responsibilities also include advice to law enforcement agencies and regular interaction with the Community Supervision Department.   The ideal candidate will be able to handle and assist the other attorneys handle a felony docket.               

Qualification: Graduate of an accredited law school, currently licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, and a member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.  Prosecutorial experience preferred but not required. 
 
Salary: Starting salary is approximately $68,000 to 96,000, depending on experience and position offered. Benefits include paid CLE, bar dues, health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance and retirement.  Benefits are administered through Dawson County.  An automobile is provided.
         
About our office:  The 106th Judicial District covers Dawson, Gaines, Garza and Lynn Counties.  Our county seats Lamesa, Seminole, Post and Tahoka.  We are located South of Lubbock and North of Midland/Odessa.  We only handle felony cases.  We have 4 attorneys, 1 Investigator and 3 staff people that work on our team.  We are looking for a 5th attorney to assist with the Felony docket.
