The Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office is seeking a prosecutor to appear at a morning magistrate court, effective immediately.

Applicants should be licensed attorneys in good standing.  One year of job-related experience is required, with prior criminal law experience preferred.  

Attorneys will be expected to appear at 6 a.m. at a daily morning magistrate docket to argue for bond conditions and make recommendations for release on bond.  Work in the Intake Division is secondary to the magistrate docket and will be used to backfill available hours.  There are several positions that alternate days covering the docket 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays.  The position is in a rotation with the misdemeanor trial division and candidates should be prepared to discuss their qualifications for both roles.

Pay begins at $80,912.00 annually with a full benefits package.  Offers subject to application/interview process, background check and drug test.
