Assistant District Attorney – Experienced Prosecutors
Starting Salary: $110,000.00 – $120,000.00 ( Based on experience)
The Wichita County Criminal District Attorney’s Office is seeking a seasoned, highly motivated Assistant District Attorney to join our prosecution team. We are looking for someone ready to fight for justice, advocate for victims, and protect the safety and well-being of our community. Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the prosecution of assigned criminal cases from intake through trial
• Conduct hearings, motion practice, plea negotiations, and jury trials
• Collaborate closely with investigators, law enforcement agencies, victims, witnesses, and defense counsel
• Ensure that all case filings, motions, and pleadings are accurate, timely, and in compliance with the Texas Code of Professional Responsibility
• Manage caseload efficiently while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and ethical judgment.
Minimum Qualifications:
• J.D. degree from an ABA‑accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar
• Prior prosecution or significant criminal litigation experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of criminal law, courtroom strategy, and rules of evidence
• Excellent communication, case‑analysis, and trial skills
• Ability to work effectively with judges, attorneys, staff, law enforcement, and the community
• Must pass a pre‑employment physical, drug test, and background investigation
