POSITION TITLE: Attorney, Felony II
SALARY RANGE: $110,807.55 – $120,000.00 annually (Pay Group E13)

Position Overview:
This position requires a thorough knowledge of all phases of criminal prosecution and law enforcement procedures; is responsible for the prosecution of adult felony offenders in the District Courts; has daily contact with the public and is responsible for assisting the Criminal District Attorney with trying cases and handling all criminal law matters. This position also attempts to ensure that criminals are properly prosecuted based upon given facts and application to current law.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of law enforcement procedures and court operations
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Valid Texas driver’s license required for operating county vehicles
