As the ways in which we connect with supporters, donors, and the people we serve grow, so does the need for a new website that offers a full view into what the Foundation does to support Texas prosecutors. I am proud to present the Foundation website version 2.0 at www.tdcaf.org. The address is the same, but the site is different. It offers insights into the TDCAA programs that the Foundation supports, the donors who finance the work, and the ways donors can make a difference. Together we can continue to support the training and services that make TDCAA one of the premiere prosecutor associations in the county. The new site highlights our mission: to bring about a safer Texas by supporting professionalism in prosecution. The vision: So the State is always ready. When you have the chance, please check it out and let us know what you think.
I want to take the opportunity to thank some folks who have guided us in our giving program development the last year: Brian Harrison of the Texas A&M Foundation and Blake Johnson of Edward Jones in the Metroplex. Their insights and willingness to share for the greater good has been great for our Foundation.
2025 in the rear view
This last year was very busy for your Foundation leadership. The Foundation offered support for the tremendous work of TDCAA’s Victim Services Director Jalayne Robinson and TDCAA’s Domestic Violence Resource Prosecutor Kristin Burns. The Foundation also helped support Train the Trainer, the Advanced Trial Advocacy Course, and Prosecutor Management Institute (PMI) trainings. All in all, the Foundation provided a record amount of support to TDCAA’s services. Keep an eye out for the 2025 Annual Report coming to a mailbox near you.
Endowment funding for TDCAA
When Dan Boulware and Tom Krampitz breathed life into the Texas Prosecutors Society (TPS) in 2011, they had a vision of enduring support to the prosecutors of Texas through an endowment funded by those who shared that vision. Now with over 300 members, the Society has been so successful that is it time to make that support a reality. Thanks to the stewardship of Mike Turner and Buddy Ballard at Alpha Capital Management, the endowment fund is now in a position to begin offering that enduring support directly to TDCAA, and the Foundation leadership has voted to do just that in 2026. Exciting times!
