Part Four of TDCAA’s Mental Health Video Series will be available through TDCAA’s online training platform. This 2.25-hour course consists of a panel discussion that addresses how a community can use the sequential intercept model (SIM) to reduce the number of mentally ill individuals who end up in the criminal justice system. The panel discussion is centered on a presentation on the six intercept points of SIM and includes detailed information about how SIM can be deployed in your community and how prosecutors and the courts can interact with these efforts. This course is available free of charge. This course will be available until at least August 15, 2024.
