Annual Report from 2025 is out

By Rob Kepple

TDCAF Executive Director in Austin

The Foundation’s 2025 Annual Report can be viewed below. Last year, the Foundation set a record in support for TDCAA’s training efforts, generating over $175,000 in funding for the Prosecutor Management Institute, Advanced Trial Advocacy Course, and Train the Trainer. This also included first-time support for the new Domestic Violence Resource Prosecutor position, the creation of which is an exciting development for TDCAA and Texas prosecutors. In addition, the Texas Prosecutors Society generated over $60,000 to contribute to the endowment, which in the last year topped the $1 million mark. Thanks to the Foundation leadership for their work. We are working to build on this success for a great 2026!

Online ethics course

Thanks to the Texas Bar Foundation for its support of TDCAA’s online ethics training, which went live on TDCAA’s website in January. The two-hour course is taught by two experts, C. Scott Brumley, County Attorney in Potter County, and Ariane Flores, Assistant County Attorney in Williamson County. The training was produced with support from the Texas Bar Foundation, which in its 60-plus years has awarded over $28 million in grants. More information about the training can be found at www.tdcaa.com/training/2026-ethics-update. It is free to all paid TDCAA members.

TPS invitations are coming soon

The Texas Prosecutors Society enters its 15th year with more than 300 members who are dedicated to supporting excellence in prosecutor training. Each spring, TPS members nominate people for that year’s class. In 2026, induction will be at a reception held in conjunction with the Elected Prosecutor Conference in December. Nominations have been made, and the invitations will soon be sent for the Class of 2026. For more information about the Society, visit tdcaf.org/our-impact.
